Hi, I’m Lorna and I am a qualified Sports Therapist having graduated in 2024 from the University of Derby and I am currently providing Sports Massage at the clinic. I have always had a very keen interest in the body’s many systems and I completed my Sports Massage course with VTCT in 2019. My swimming career was ended ten years ago due to injury, which sparked my interest in Sports Therapy and Sports Massage to help individuals prevent and rehabilitate from musculoskeletal injuries.
Being a Sports Massage Therapist, in addition to compression and deep tissue massage I am able to provide taping, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques (METs), PNF techniques and stretching.
I am quite an active individual who’s involved in many sports such as swimming, running, bouldering, Yoga, Pilates and attending the gym and unfortunately, I have experienced by fair share of injuries. However, I feel this helps me relate to and better understand patients making me a better therapist overall.
In my spare time I love to keep active in all the activities above. I also adore hiking and being outdoors in nature, grounding as most say. I also enjoy concerts, festivals or any sort of live music for entertainment outside from my working life.
